Bromölla is situated in the North-East part of Skåne in south of Sweden.

 In the footsteps of dinosaurs

Bromölla stands on historic soil. People have lived here since time immemorial, and before that – 80 million years ago – dinosaurs roamed the land and the sea. These ancient people and creatures have left many clear traces, and finding a shark’s tooth in the sandy soil of Bromölla is not uncommon. Bromölla is one of the richest sources of fossils in the whole of Scandinavia. The world’s oldest flower has also been found here in layers of limestone.

From mill town to modern industrial society

China clay was the raw material for a ceramics industry that began more than 120 years ago and still operates here. Today, IFÖ Sanitär is the largest of the IFÖ companies. The company’s sanitary porcelain – not least IFÖ toilets – can now be found all over the world.
